... well, actually they vibrate and make you feel a bit odd the first time you stand on it - but I'm sure you get what I mean!
I made a partial mistake of jogging 30 mins to my first Power Plate session last week - arrived very hot and sweaty. However, this did mean my instructor only needed to get me to do 30 secs of step-ups to get used to the PP before we launched into the toning exercises:
Legs: lunges, squats, standing on tip toes
Core: plank, crunches, ball roll-outs
Arms: tricep dips, bicep curl (with attached harness), push-ups, shoulder press
Then there was some stretching out of the muscles used and relaxing massage for calves and thighs. Although a higher intensity on the thighs to attempt to blast away cellulite - here is hoping it works, could definitely feel the hot itchiness of the increased circulation going on!
20 mins on the PP really does feel like an hour in the gym - if you put effort into it anyway. Maybe the part walk, part jog home helped with some of that feeling too though!
I have my next instructor-led session this Thursday, then another two on my own under the original deal. After that, I am seriously considering continuing on with the PP as it seems like it will offer real tangible benefits!
