Italian restaurant Prezzo launch meals under 600 calories for the new year

On a health kick for 2013? It doesn't need to be boring. Thanks to Italian restaurant Prezzo's new light menu, you can enjoy a nice meal out with friends and family while still watching your waistline.
Prezzo are offering six new dishes, each under 600 calories, until Monday 4th February 2013. Choose from four scrumptious main courses: buffalo mozzarella flatbread, super detox salad, grilled vegetable flatbread and chicken Andria. They will also be offering a chunky tomato and oregano soup to start and a choice of sorbets for dessert.
Regular visitors of Prezzo will already know that the restaurant also offers a 'light' option of your favourite pizza and pasta dishes. These are simply smaller versions of the regular dishes, served with a salad on the side. All the indulgence of a hearty Italian meal with less of the calories - bliss!
We know what you're thinking - will the meals be enough to satisfy your hungry belly? Well, team WF headed over to one of the London restaurants to scope out the new menu and we certainly left with smiles, and full - but not stuffed - tummies. It's the perfect choice for those who'd like to remain sociable this new year without breaking any healthy eating resolutions.
We particularly liked the chicken Andria - a hot, flavoursome grilled chicken breast topped with a generous helping of vegetables in a rich tomato sauce, and the buffalo mozzarella flatbread - like a cold pizza base served under fresh vegetables; perfect as a starter to share or as your own main course.
And to wet your throat? Prezzo have thought of everything - they also cleverly serve low-calorie, low-alcohol wine for those who aren't partaking in dry January!
So don't be a hermit all winter. There are plenty of healthy options that'll keep you sociable, happy and full - with none of the guilt associated with indulging!
