Did you know that different types of sports place different
demands on your breasts? Shock Absorber, the UK’s leading
sports bra brand, commissioned research from the University of
Portsmouth and teamed up with breast expert Doctor Joanna Scurr, to fully
understand the impact running, ball sports and racket sports have on the
breasts and body, and has now developed a

brand new ground-breaking,
sport-specific bra range that’s set to revolutionise women’s sports kits! The
first of its kind, this innovative range guarantees targeted support, comfort
and performance for three popular sport categories: run, ball and racket.
With the number of women playing ball and racket sports on the
up and the numbers of women who love to run still increasing, Shock
Absorber’s latest findings are vital. We’ve long known that a sports bra
is the most important piece of kit to ensure the prevention of irreversible
damage to the ligaments in our breasts, but this new research takes that
level of prevention to the next stage. Shock Absorber is now making sure
that you have a truly focused level of support when you exercise, so you
can perform at your very best without distractions in three popular
sporting disciplines.
So, whatever your sport and whatever your level, you can be safe in
the knowledge that you are being supported to achieve maximum results.

Basic measurement information
Checklist:
- Is your bust fully contained in the cups with no overspill or bagginess?
- Does the chest band feel firm? Your chest expands when exercising so take some deep breaths and ensure it’s snug but not too tight
- Have you adjusted the shoulder straps? You don’t want too much ‘give’.
- Do the bounce test – jump up and down and check you are fully supported!
