- Remember to warm up and stretch after each session.
- At least twice a week, find the time for strength-building exercises. You can tag them on to the end of one of your run sessions. Test your fitness at the beginning, middle and end of the programme.
- Stick to a steady pace and a flat, navigable terrain.
